scott kelby’s worldwide photowalk | frisco, tx

Last weekend I participated in the Second Annual Worldwide Photowalk.  The Dallas walk filled quickly — and was already full when I first heard about the walk — but I found a walk in the relatively-near suburb of Frisco and signed up.

We met at the Frisco Heritage Center.  The Heritage Center is located on approximately six acres and is adjacent to the BNSF Railroad.  It has 8 structures plus a steam locomotive and wooden caboose, all of which are intended to provide a glimpse of what life was like for the earliest settlers of North Texas – how they lived, worked, and played.   I wandered around a bit (the buildings were mostly closed), but I found myself mainly hanging around the tracks.  I guess that’s the kind of girl I am.

Jennie - Amazing shots! Thanks so much for showing that. I checked the site out and hopefully I can participate next year.

gabby | wonder doodle

I’m feeling doodle love.

Gabby’s a sweet little floppy labradoodle.  She loves her mom, dad and purple hippo.

gabby-13Gabby’s preferred spot – snuggled between couch and coffee table, but still with the ability to keep on eye on everyone. gabby-8gabby-12Gabby and her family live in an adorable little cottage — apparently the former owners had a little Yorkie and had built an elaborate ramp and platform up to a Yorkie-sized doggie door.  Gabby watches her girlish figure to make sure she can fit.gabby-9gabby-10Mom’s home!gabby-16gabby-15That fur slays me.  gabby-14Flop.  Down for the count.gabby-17

in search of a good home | paws in the city

A peek at some more creatures available for adoption through Paws in the City:

Angel’s a big baby.  She was found at a construction site with her buddy, Lucky.  She’s such a sweetheart — mild-mannered, affectionate, and adorable.

Chester’s about 4-5 months old and is a pyr / golden mix.  His fur is crazy soft – he’s like a little (actually big!) stuffed animal.chesterSweet Delilah.  She’s no fool – she found the shade and plopped down.  A beautiful girl with the best eyeliner I’ve seen in a good long while!
delilahI love Petey.  He’s the most adorable freckled, sweetest bully you can imagine.  Calm, affectionate, adoring – he’s fabulous.peteyRemi’s a sweet young catahoula/lab mix (originally wrongly identified as Jethro – oops!).  She’s a happy girl that’ll give you a little wiggle for some treats!jethro

Sweet Baby James is a bit of handful, but has already made great progress learning his manners in a short time.  Super loving and playful, he’ll make a great addition to the right family.  sweet-baby-jamesPUPPIES!!  Sigh. Puppy  breath.  Paws in the City has quite a few puppies right now – including the rat terrier mixes and pyr pups below.   puppiesThese two dozed like this all afternoon.  Kittens hugging?  How much cuter can you get?kittens

If you’re in North Texas and are considering a new pet, keep Paws in the City in mind.  They have loads of wonderful animals, just waiting for a new family to love.

Next up — more Gabby

leesia - they are all so sweet!! i hope they find great homes soon.

gabby | sneak peek

I had a crazy weekend – and it started with Gabby, an adorable labradoodle.   The session was an anniversary gift for Gabby’s dad  — a fabulous idea, I think!

I love doodles – they remind me of happy, floppy muppets.  And Gabby’s no exception.  She’s six, but between her sweet smile and her super soft fur, you’d think she was still a baby puppy girl.

Just a little sneak peek (more to come!)…
