easter bear

Bear’s Easter started with an Easter egg hunt.

He liked it.  Particularly once he discovered there were treats inside.  Didn’t even mind the hair (which, embarrassingly, looks suspiciously like it might be mine).

But the treats didn’t stop there.  No.  It’s Easter.  That means special treats.  Like PEANUT BUTTER!

All that can wear a dog out.  Luckily the new chick provided just the right cushion.

Bug really is next this time.

sam - These are so cute! My favorites are the peanut butter shots and the last ‘resting’ shot. Wow.

bishop

Bishop is a sweet little girl, not yet even two years old (well, little by my newf-relative standards).  Her parents found her in the Bishop Arts area of town as a wee pup – hence her name.

There were two different locations we talked about for the shoot – one, Deep Ellum, was having its Arts Fest so it was ruled out.  The other, Fair Park, seemed a great option.  We’ll meet up on a Sunday morning when there shouldn’t be hardly anyone around.  Unless, of course, there’s a marathon being run to/from there.  We still managed to find a few semi-isolated spots, but sweet Bishop wanted nothing more than to greet each and every runner, volunteer, and family member.

I didn’t notice until I started going through the shots that her hair grows in a perfect squiggly line.  Love it.

Coming up next… Bishop’s little sister, Bug.

Chris - Love this work here. Fantastic compositions. Super site!

deep ellum with a newf

I had to return the rented 28-70mm 2.8L lens today so I grabbed Belle this morning, stuffed my pockets full of puppy crack [a.k.a. dehydrated chicken], and headed down to the Deep Ellum area.   It’s such a fun place to shoot — tons of textures and patterns and colors.  It would not be hard for me to spend hours down there — and fill memory card after memory card.  Alas, my sidekick has her limits.

We took in some of the details…

I knew my girl was pretty smart, but I didn’t know she could read.  One look at the curb and those elbows hit the ground.

no-standing

I heart her.  Even if she needs her toenails clipped.

Rhianne - She is gorgeous! Congratulations on your new website (and blog) and good luck.

under construction

as I promised, I’m already redoing the blog…

I’ll likely change the look multiple times before I decide on one – certainly once I get that pesky license to load photoshop on the new computer.

Or who knows, I might just pick one and be over the blog design thing.  I guess we’ll see.

speck

Speck’s a… mutt.  Maybe part Chinese Crested?  Maybe a little Poodle?  Nobody knows, though he seems to think he’s part Great Dane (the size part).  Whatever he really is, he’s pretty cute.  And he has good hair.

Here’s a sneak peek of a few Speck shots…

Wendy - I love the one where he is just peaking into the frame. Very cute.

Cindy Chaffin - Dang! You musta Photoshopped the hell out of these! He actually looks clean! I love ’em!
