A couple of sweet girls looking for new families through Paws in the City:
It’s hard to believe I’m posting about Orla Grace needing a home. Poor girl has had two good ones – and has just had bad luck. Her first owner passed away so Paws in the City helped find her a new home. Unfortunately, the dad at the new home developed pretty severe allergies to her – so despite loving her to pieces, they’ve been forced to give her up. Their loss will certainly be someone else’s gain though! Miss Orla is a purebred lab (with her papers). She’s a fantastic family dog, especially with children (she may actually prefer kids to adults). She’s been well cared for and is a happy girl — having met her, I can attest that she’s a sweet, goofy, loving, stereotypical lab!
Lovie was rescued from the Trinity river bed. The vet estimated Lovie to be about 1.5 years old, and she’s had at least one litter of puppies. When found, she wasn’t in good shape – but thanks to some great medical care, she’s well on her way to being a healthy happy girl! She’s still a little scrawny, but is very energetic, playful and VERY SWEET. She loves to give hugs and kisses and takes to people quickly, offering them all the affection she can muster!

lynn - Beautiful lab! Did you know that a lab with that coloring is called a “Dudley”? It only happens when they get a pair of double recessive genes. My lab has the same coloring and someone just told me there was a name for it a couple weeks ago.
Also, my lab just came over as I was typing this, put her paws on my lap and climbed up to take a better look at Rex. For real! 🙂
