and I don’t like it, says Cash.
I’ve been working with Legacy Boxer Rescue to get Cash fixed up and find him a new home. They are really a great organization – passionate about saving dogs. Since I’ve been involved with LBR, I’ve been more exposed to just how many dogs – including purebred ones – are surrendered or just abandoned every day. It really is disheartening — but I’ve also met some people with huge hearts that are working hard to save as many of these sweet little creatures as they can.
Sharon Sleighter, the founder of LBR, is in the running to be Tom’s of Maine’s Hero Next Door. The prize for the winner is $2500 for the charity and $2500 for the hero, but Sharon has already vowed to donate all $5000 to LBR to help spay, neuter, deworm, feed, shelter, train, and socialize pups like Cash. If you have a chance, please consider voting for Sharon – here.
Lily - Aww. I’m so happy for Cash but will miss seeing him on your blog!
Margaret - He is a beautiful dog. He’s lucky he’s been adopted. My granddog is an American Bulldog and he looks a lot like Cash. Although Leroy has a black spot on the top of his head.
Shauna (Fido & Wino) - Awww! You did such a good thing taking him in! Maybe you’ll be the “soft pillow to land on” for another pup someday?
Take care!
