My sister and brother-in-law are saying goodbye to their sweet girl, Bowie, today. You may remember that I posted a few months ago that she’d been diagnosed with osteocarcoma. They successfully had her front leg amputated – she recovered quickly and adapted easy to the tripod life. Unfortunately, though there weren’t any obvious signs that the cancer had spread at the time, it had.
So now it’s time to say goodbye. Certainly the right thing to do, but that doesn’t make it any easier.
Hands, Goobs.
Melissa Adams Hammonds - Sending warm thoughts and prayers. I just went through this with my Trader 3 weeks ago, and I know how painful it is. He had lymphoma, and even though we knew the time was coming, saying goodbye was just heartbreaking. Thank goodness they have your wonderful photos in addition to all the great experiences and memories.
Charlotte Reeves - The hardest decision to make. Sending much love and strength to your brother and sister in law. I went through the same with my Kaya, it really is heartbreaking. Gorgeous photo of a sweet looking girl.
Joe - Flying Doggies - I’m so sorry. My heart is just breaking for you guys and Bowie. I had to make that heart breaking decision for my sweet Dalmatian, Jessie. She was 15 years old. I’m sorry for your loss and understand your pain.
“It came to me that every time I lose a dog they take a piece of my heart with them. And every new dog who comes into my life gifts me with a piece of their heart.
If I live long enough, all the components of my heart will be dog, and I will become as generous and loving as they are.” – Cheryl Zuccaro
thank Dog she is always here in these beautiful photos.
Angela - Hands. Thanks Doobs. I am so grateful to have that beautiful photo book you made for us and especially the photos of her running and playing fetch. She was such a big part of our life for the last 10 years, and the house seems quiet and lonely already. I know we made the right decision and I am glad she isn’t suffering any more, but it still really hurts.
Patrick - Our hearts are with you! Bowie will never be forgotten and I’m sure the good memories will help pull y’all through this tough time. Here’s a poem a customer sent our way that I want to share… it’s really beautiful…

Patrick - I just noticed Joe beat me sharing Cheryl’s quote!
pet portraits - when i was going to take photo for my dog, i have to make him run around, and after he used all of his energy, he will lie down, that’s best time to take photos
Johne608 - When I originally commented I clicked the Notify me when new comments are added checkbox and now every time a comment is added I get 4 emails using the same comment. Is there any way you may take away me from that service? Thanks! gcaebeaagegd
